Nadishana added one extra hole for the left thumb to each flute to extend the range, otherwise the native tuning is left as it is. Tsaaj Nplaim has very haunting, tender sound, very special and instantly recognizable. The flute made from bamboo.

The approach of H???mong people to playing is very different from our western approach and very unique: for example this instrument used by them to tell stories (literally). When player performs the audience knows what story is about.

Note: the tone reference of each flute is different. on the video Nadishana plays on two of them.

Если кто-то хотел узнать, что происходит с его родственником или другом, находящимся далеко, то он обращался к Кужешу с помощью своей вопрошающей песни, потому что Кужешу знала обо всем, что происходит над и под землей. Кужешу не зря считалась всеведающей. Она жила в воде и все секреты и тайны хранящиеся в реках, озерах, морях и океанах, в подземных водах и горных водопадах, в дожде, тумане, паре и даже в слезах лодей и животных были ей доступны.

Julia Surbapyrography on wood, 2010The Kuzheshu-Fish was often honoured with special songs in Ancient Kuzhebar. When somebody wanted to know something about relatives or friends who were far away, he sang a question-song to Kuzheshu.Kuzheshu-Fish knew everything what had even happen under or above the earth. It lived in water and all secrets and mysteries, which were kept in rivers, lakes, seas and oceans, in ground waters and waterfalls, in rain, fog, steam and even in tears of?  humans and animals were for it easy accessible.

Это традиционная тувинская песня в нетрадиционной интерпретации. Аранжировка была сделана спонтанно, у нас был час времени и мы решили отметить таким образом нашу ?случайную? встречу. Получилась интересная смесь тувинского древнего фолка, современного джаза, средневосточной музыки и кужебарских ритмов.

Available at our ethnic store now.</p>  <p>Flute decoration consists of fertility symbols and symbols connected with&#160; the ritual of Kuzhebar people called Shuol Khymat.</p>  <p>Shuol Khymat were usually celebrated twice a year ??? at spring (Ashuol Khymat) and at autumn (Yshuol Khymat). Ancient Kuzhebar people considered the sun as a source of the great power, which can be used in various ways. Their method of solar energy utilization is very similar to the description of photosynthesis process. We think it???s connected with their belief that human and plant worlds are not separated, more than humans are partly plants. It might be said that kuzhebar people had a peculiar knowledge about what we call now photosynthesis and vitamin D fixation.</p>  <p>Most relevant translation of ???Shuol Khymat??? term is Photosynthesis Dance (capturing-solar-energy dance)</p>  <p>Unfortunately the complete ritual is lost, but we had used some elements of it which are still extant. Normally the ritual had to take place in a very sunny day. It was accompanied by playing on overtone flute and by special movements. Ancient kuzhebar people believed that flute sounds in combination with special dance help to capture the solar energy in a most efficient way. </p>

Шуол кхымат проводился обычно два раза в год: весной (ашуол кхымат) и осенью (йшуол кхымат) и был тесно связан с солнечной активностью. Древние кужебарцы считали Солнце источником великой силы, которую оно ниспосылает в дар всем живым существам, и которую можно и нужно использовать. Их метод использования солнечной энергии по описанию схож с описанием процесса фотосинтеза у растений. Видимо это связано с тем, что древние кужебарцы не отделяли растительный мир от мира человека. Человек воспринимался ими как часть растительного мира, а растения, как часть человеческого. Можно сказать, что древние кужебарцы имели свое понимание процессов, которые сегодня называются фотосинтез и усваивание витамина D. </p>

Gianni has been playing the didjeridoo for thirteen years and he has followed the project Ab-Origine for at least three years, working on the body, the breath and the rhythm. The thread conductor of this work and what has impassioned him, they have been the questions: Where is the rhythm born? What is the origin of this breath? Why to a heartbeat another follows of it? What's it hidden in the abyss of the silence? This strange fruit that is matured and that the pleasure he has to make you taste it, is ???Ab-Origine???. A strange, powerful and mysterious fruit. A work on the languages rare in it kind. But above all a work on the man, on his emotions and on their meaning. To such end, this work uses more some collaboration musicians: the afro pecussionist Cico Rossi, the virtuoso multi instrumentalist Vladiswar Nadishana (jaws harp and harmonic flute), the teacher of Gregorian singing Federica Di Leonardo, the theremin player Valerio Can?©, the saxophonist Ivan Valentini, the electronic sound effects and drum machine of Enrico Marani and the cumbus and cavaquinho guitars of Nico Canzoniero. Obviously, the didjeridoo and the shakuhachi flute played by Gianni!!

Древние кужебарские легенды часто повествуют о храбрых путешественниках, которые отваживались путешествовать по разным туннелям реальности. Так они встречались с другими мирами, отличными от  знакомого нам. Иногда из путешествий им удавалось принести с собой объекты других миров, а иногда они пытались изобразить места в которых бывали. Такие объекты и изображения использовались затем путешественниками для того, чтобы снова попасть в понравившийся им мир.  Здесь можно заглянуть в Три Магических Окна, реконструированных Юлией Сурба,  которые ведут в три разных мира.

Old Kuzhebar legends tell about courageous travellers, who took risks to travel through different reality tunnels, so they could see other worlds which were different from one we usually know. Sometimes these travellers brought some objects from the visited worlds or they tried to depict them. The images were used by them to get into the world they liked again. Here are Three Magic Windows into three different worlds ???reconstructed??? by Julia Surba.

Dzuddahord is an unique experimental hybrid instrument invented by multi-instrumentalist  Vladiswar Nadishana. 

Dzuddahord combines three different musical instruments in one: mandola, sitar and gusli. 

    Where is the connection between the dzuddahord and pyrography? Pyrographic symbols burned by Julia Surba adorn now this unique instrument.

One part of the symbols has to conjure the soundingenieur, the other one is for conjuring the ghosts of non linear distortion.

Дзуддахорд ? это уникальный экспериментальный гибридный инструмент придуманный  Владисваром Надишаной. 

У дзуддахорда три игровые зоны, т.е. это три инструмента объединенные в один. Короче говоря дзуддахорд это гусле-мандоло-ситар, или ситаро-гусле-мандола, кому как больше нравится:)

    При чем же тут пирография, спросите вы. А при том, что дзуддахорд теперь украшают пирографические древнекужебарские символы (студия Кужебар Дизайн).

Одни из них служат для заклинания  звукооператора, а другие  для заклинания духов нелинейнах искажений.

At this video you can see the example of seemless integration of futujara flute in to the band setting. Unlike traditional slovak fujara, futujara made with the idea to be used as an ensemble instrument, not just a solo instrument.
